Jessica Simpson certainly makes cute kids, and her latest Instagram snap proves they took a long dip in her gene pool. The actress, singer, and fashion designer left fans doing a double-take when she shared a back-to-school snapshot of her eldest daughter, Maxwell, eight, and son, Ace, seven. The blonde siblings hugged for the camera as they prepared to enter a new year of school, and not only did they look cute, they looked identical to their famous mum. Jessica captioned the snap: "First day of 2nd and 3rd grade for these two kiddos. Ace has a busted lip and Maxi has a busted chin. Finished the summer out strong.

Jessica Simpson arguably looked around half her age in a sweet selfie with her young son Ace. The year-old singer and fashion designer, who shares three kids with her husband Eric Johnson, posted the cute pic with her only son, Ace Knute, to her Instagram page. In the photo, which can be seen below, a youthful-looking Jessica pressed her head against her 7-year-old's cheek as she held out her arm to capture the photo. The Open Book author wore a light denim jacket and gray sweatpants, while Ace wore a Mamba Sports Academy T-shirt as they posed together at home. The mother-and-son duo both smiled widely in the snap and between their matching blond hair and similar smiles, it was clear Jessica was posing with her mini-me.

Channeling her stylish mama's love of statement-making coats , Maxwell looked like Jessica's mini-me in her oversized printed coat, which she paired with a leopard print top. Also donning the fierce print was baby Birdie, who rocked a leopard dress. Looking cool like his dad, Ace wore a shearling bomber jacket and matched his shoes to his brown outerwear. She even treated her older children to a mini book signing of their own.
